Landscape Masonry Before and After

Here's the landscaping before we installed retaining wall and steps in Wellfleet, MA. Sand used to wash down the hill onto their brick patio during every rain. We installed a series of miniature dry retaining walls, redirecting the water and allowing it to percolate down into the ground instead of washing sand all over their brick patio. We recently planted bearberry, a native cape cod groundcover among the bluestone steppers and natural stepping stones of the path.
